Hi, I'm Karen – I'm really glad you're here.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I want to acknowledge that it takes courage. I offer a calm, welcoming space where you can talk freely and feel truly heard—without judgment, pressure, or expectations.

I work from a person-centered approach, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore whatever’s going on for you. I’ll offer warmth, honesty, and empathy to help you reconnect with your own sense of self and inner strength.

People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons—maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, grieving, or simply unsure of who you are right now. Whatever you're carrying, you don’t have to face it alone.

I bring my full self to this work. I know what it’s like to sit in the other chair, and I hold the highest regard for anyone willing to look inward and do this kind of work. For me, the most important factor for transformative change in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client- the therapeutic alliance. That’s why I show up with authenticity, and I hope that creates a space where trust can grow and healing can happen.
If this sounds like the kind of support you're looking for, I’d love to hear from you.
About Me.
I hold a First-Class Bachelor's degree in Person-Centred Therapy and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship from the University of Warwick and I am a registered member of BACP. I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, and I welcome you exactly as you are.
I have over five years of experience working therapeutically with clients. I currently work independently, having previously provided therapeutic support at a local charitable organisation.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertake additional training to ensure I provide the highest standard of support tailored to your needs.
What I Can Help With
We all need a space where we can pause, reflect, and be truly heard. I support clients through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relational issues, including:
You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin counselling. You might not even know exactly what’s wrong — only that something doesn’t feel right. That’s okay. We can explore it together, at your pace.
Client Testimonial
I was nervous about starting therapy but was immediately put at ease with Karen. She is understanding, warm and holding. I could open up to her about anything and feel safe with her to start making changes that have really helped my life.
